Libertarian Bloggers: It has been great.

Libertarian Bloggers,

It has been great to provide this service to you so far. Your participation and encouragement has been more than I have received on any of my other online "hobby" projects. Thank you for this!

Thank you Blognor Regis, Free Form, Free Form New York, hell's handmaiden, Hydrablog, The Libertarian Guy, Life Liberty and the Pursuit of... , North Buffalo Journal and Review, Emerging Libertarian, and Reflections on Playboy for including a sticker back to the Aggregator.

Thanks to American Front Porch, Capitalism & Freedom, Coyote Blog, and Murphy's Bye-Laws for having a text link back to us. And, thank you to anyone who linked back whom I have overlooked (let me know) or those who wrote articles about the site.

Many Bloggers have informed me that their readership has gone up significantly as a result of this service. I appreciate all of the feedback.

To any of you bloggers who are reading this who haven't linked back, or who have a blog but it isn't listed, please consider linking or let me know about your blog so I can list it.

I have added the libertarian "tag" of my Zebby blog to the aggregator as of today, so I can post to the site as well - I may post on libertarian topics on occasion (but I've been pretty busy with other projects.)

Thanks again everyone, and keep up the good blogging!

Libertiki is my blog.

I created Libertiki to help organize the Libertarian community. This blog was created to help distribute information for the Libertarian community. It will be used as the news and information for the community of online Libertarians.

The Internet is important to the Libertarian community because it is a way for them to connect to spread the Libertarian philosophy and ideas. The Libertarian community is large, but it needs a way of coming together. Many projects have been started by many different groups, to accomplish this in their local areas. Libertiki is a way for Libertarians to connect on the Internet.

Many online users have leanings toward the Libertarian party and their ideas. Libertiki will allow them to focus their efforts on the Internet. The Libertarians have a rather large community online, making the goal of spreading Libertarian philosophy to mainstream politics and mainstream America, through the Internet an easier task.

Do your part to spread Liberty and the Libertarian philsosophy! Bookmark this blog and stay updated!

Love the site, use it daily. However, recently it's been giving me problems. I don't know if it's the site or me, but here's what it says:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 25165824 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 4194290 bytes) in /var/www/storago/magpierss/rss_cache.inc on line 153

CFD Ed said...

Yep. I also am getting:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 25165824 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 4980790 bytes) in /var/www/storago/magpierss/rss_cache.inc on line 153

Gunner said...

Getting the same error message for about a week plus.

Jeff Day said...

Howdy folks! Sorry about the intermittent downtime. We ran into a problem because the articles were too big, and my feed scraper was pulling in the full text from the RSS/atom feeds. When there were a lot of really lengthy articles in the feeds, it would cause an overflow of the script's memory limit. I have now modified my version of Magpie to discard the content of the articles and keep only the heading information, and now the problem should be resolved.

OK...this is about a video and not a blog but I'm hoping people with Libertarian blog's can use the video:

Hello,

I wanted to tell you about a video that you might be able to use on your site. Rabbit Bites is a weekly webshow that appears on the cover of Salon.com. It stars two rabbits who look at pop-culture and interview celebrity guests. The day after we go off the cover of Salon, we upload to Youtube and about a dozen other video websites and end up averaging about 700 thousand views per each episode. This week our guest was Bill Redpath, chairman of the Libertarian Party. I was hoping you'd be interested in embedding the video on your site. It's a fun way to get to meet one of the top Libertarians and an easy introduction to people who may not be very familiar with Libertarianism into what it is.

Here's the permalink to the video on Youtube where you can grab the embed code: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Kg2avPCyR4

Hope some of you can use it.

Thanks,
The Rabbit Bites team

At Politaction you will find news relating to the Libertarian party, the Democrat Party, the Republican party, the Green party, the Constitution party, and any other political parties or organizations that are supporting policies of social and economic freedom. You will be given news, information, and opinion from the Left, Right, and Center of the political spectrum. I didn't write this piece, but it is the best post I have read in a long time. I am sharing it with my readers, I'm passing it along to you. It is pure mind candy. One commenter wrote:

If this were an essay on economics, it would be the best essay on economics I’ve read in a year or more.

If this were an essay on social structures, it would be the best essay on social structures I’ve read on a year or more.

If this were an essay on conservative versus reformer mindsets, it would be the best essay on *that* that I’ve read in a year or more.

In fact, it was all three of those things, and I’m frankly stunned at how excellently you’ve made so many points in such a short space.

Bravo.

Greetings All,

Wonderful to see so many Libertarian Blogs in one spot. Over here at Bludgeon & Skewer we focus on politics in the great state of Georgia with a Libertarian perspective. We don't spend a lot of time on theory, we concentrate on supporting Libertarian candidates for office to the best of our ability. We did a lot of work for Allen Buckley (L) and assisted him in causing a run off for the US Senate seat in Georgia. A fine time indeed!

We're currently working to find candidates for the 2010 election cycle and are proud to announce that Chuck Donovan has declared his intent to run in the 2010 US Senate race against incumbent republican Johnny Isakson. Go Chuck!

There is a new site up and running called Political Review Online. Part of the "About" page reads as follows:

"This site has two complimentary objectives: 1) to defend the Liberty Movement from co-option and dilution from other elements of the American Right and 2) to promote leaders and policies that hold firm to the principles and ideals of the Liberty Movement."

It can be found here:

"POLL REVEALS: Americans Are Still In Deep Denial About The Deficit" http://read.bi/h6QDGR If they realized how bad it is politicians would need to act. Non politics-junkies tune out numbers in the $trillions so we need to rephrase the issue:
The federal government will need >$1 million per household to pay its IOUs!
> $116 trillion ="official" debt plus money  short for future social security, medicare, etc
Even its "official debt" of $14.2 trillion  is $123,754 per household!
Details at http://StopNationalDebt.com with links to contact congress & complain.
Be among the first to join the new Facebook cause "Stop National Debt" : http://www.causes.com/causes/606425-stop-national-debt
since if you don't spread the word, who will?
